Comprehensive tutorial, great asset

I bought the Character Design Guides and a set of Shading Brushes. The guide is very detailed, broke down character creation step-by-step, which was super useful. I applied the techniques right away. The Shading Brushes were a good accompaniment, they added nice depth to my characters. Download was instant through Gumroad, no problems there. I used them on my iPad Pro. Compatibility was perfect. The only thing is, I wish they offered layered PSD files for some of the example characters to study. That would take it to the next level. Still, very happy with my purchase; it elevated my design skills.

Decent value, some minor issues

I got the Digital Illustration Brushes during a sale. The price was fair for sure. The brushes themselves are good quality and useful for my work. Wish there were more examples of art made with them on the site, maybe a gallery. Installation process was straightforward enough. Email support replied quickly when I had a small question about licensing, which was helpful. Overall, a solid purchase.

Which Mini? I have a Mini 4 and they work fine in Procreate, but some of the super complex ones can lag a tiny bit.

It's more about the Procreate version than the iPad itself for a lot of brush packs. Make sure your Procreate is updated.

Sometimes you have to make sure you're logged into Gumroad first? Or clear your cache. Fixed it for me once.

Thinking of picking up one of the brush packs, probably the big bundle. Just wondering, do those usually get updates automatically if she adds new brushes later, or is it a separate purchase for new stuff?

Yeah, pretty sure the brush packs usually include free updates. I got one of her bundles last year and already got an email for an updated version with a few new ones. It just shows up in your Gumroad library.

Can confirm, got the character design pack a while back. She added some texture brushes to it like 6 months later and I just redownloaded from Gumroad. So it's good value.

You gotta open the .brushset files directly from your files app or downloads within Procreate. Tap 'em and they should import.
